An architect and interior designer, Carolina Bustos obtained her Master Degree in Production Engineering, with an emphasis on Ergonomics.

Carolina has been working for over 15 years in the design field, including a period at Looney & Associates in Dallas. She is also a Founding Partner of DFE, a company in which she develops projects on environmental, product, and process ergonomics. She has also been Vice President of ApDesign and a publishing evaluator of the Bookman/Artmed publishing house.

She has been teaching at ESPM/RS since 2007, where she develops research on emotional design and urban visual communication, and is currently the Director of the Design Course.
