Samantha Almeida (@sahalmeid_) winner in the Professional Innovation Category of the 2021 most important award in the Brazilian advertising market, Caboré. One of the main Communication, Innovation and Creativity leaders in the country, she is currently DIRECTOR OF DIVERSITY & INNOVATION IN CONTENT at Estúdios Globo, being responsible for diversifying, representing and seeking to include underrepresented communities in the teams and audiovisual projects of Estúdios Globo, ensuring both diversity of people as well as narratives, genres and formats for all platforms and consumers of the station. Representative of Brazil on the Cannes 2021 jury in the Entertainment category. She was one of the honorees of Women to Watch 2020, in the same year being elected by MIPAD, a partner organization of the UN and African Union, as one of the 100 Most Influential Afro-descendants under 40 in the world, for her collaborations in the Brazilian communication market. She has also served as Planning Director at Twitter Next do Brasil, an area that leads local and global solutions in partnership with advertisers for the development of creative campaigns. Samantha held the position of Head of Content & Digital Strategy at Ogilvy Brasil, from the WPP group, leading Content Studios, the nucleus responsible for the strategic management of social platforms for brands. Previously, at the Music 2 / Mynd group, the largest influence agency in the country, she led a creative cross-functional team of 60 professionals as director of planning, culture and digital innovation. Samantha holds a BA in Fashion Design and a post-graduate degree in Administration & Retail, she was a communication leader for 15 years, with passages at Avon Brasil, The Estée Lauder Companies, Trifil & Scala and Levi Strauss Co. with recognition for its campaigns with a strong social echo based on race, class and gender equality. She once co-managed a digital street art gallery and loves funk dance.
