Getting to Cannes

The closest airport to Cannes is in Nice. It's served by many of the major international carriers.

A taxi from the airport to Cannes will cost €80, or you can take the bus for approximately €20. If you book in advance, you could even take a helicopter or a chauffeured car.

Planning your time

Part of the fun of the festival is seeing things you didn't expect and discovering things as they happen. But there'll be things that you really don't want to miss too.

It really is worth planning at least some of your time in advance - talks you want to see, parties you're going to go to, people you want to meet.

The festival programme will be available online soon. In the meantime find out more about what the Festival has to offer.

About your badge

Registration will be at the Gare Maritime. When you arrive at the Palais des Festivals, follow the signs for Registration, with your confirmation email and photo ID, to pick up your badge.

You need to wear your badge to get access to all the festival venues, including the beaches, Cabana Town and at peak times, some of the bars and restaurants at the hotels along the Croisette.

Your badge is also your ticket to the Awards Shows, Galas and many of the official Fringe events. Don't lose it!

Seeing the winners

The Awards Shows happen on all five nights of the festival. You don't need to reserve a seat - but check the start times and which Lions are awarded on each night.

You can see all the entries in the Basement of Palais I. The shortlist exhibition, also in the Basement, grows as juries complete their judging across the week.

Winners are available online after the festival and a history of winners can be found in the Cannes Lions Archive.
