Getting to Cannes Lions

Your guide to the simplest ways of getting to, from and around Cannes during the Festival. 

To help your journey to the Festival run smoothly, here’s a list of the best travel options for reaching Cannes.

Domestic and international travel

Located on the French Riviera in the south of France, most people arrive at Cannes via the city's closest airport, Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, less than 30km from the city.

The airport is well served by international flights and there are a number of options for getting to Cannes from Nice.

Taxis

This year, taxi's to and from Nice Airport and Cannes city centre are offering a flat fee of 80€ to Cannes Lions delegates.

Helicopters

If you prefer to go by air, Azur Hélicoptère operates regular helicopter flights between Nice Airport and Cannes for €160 per person.

Chauffeured car services

Car hire

Renting a car can be convenient for getting around, especially if you want see more of the French Riviera and drive the winding coastal roads.

There are several car hire providers to choose from once you land at Nice Airport.

Trains

There is a train station, Nice St. Augustin, approximately 15 minute walk from Terminal 1 and 2 at Nice airport, with regular service to Cannes. The journey to Cannes varies from 25 to 40 minutes.

Buses

Many delegates choose to get to Cannes by bus from the airport. Services are run by Rapides Cotes d’Azur (RCA) and depart from Terminal 1 and 2 every 30 minutes between 08:00 and 19:00.

Buses stop in Cannes at the Hotel de Ville (City Hall) and when leaving Cannes in front of the Hotel Gray d'Albion, which is a five minute walk from the main Festival venue. A one-way ticket costs approximately €20.

Other services are run by Lignes d’Azur Nice Cannes Express bus 210 and depart from Terminal 1 and 2 every 30 minutes between 08:00 and 22:00. Buses arrive and depart in Cannes at Hotel de Ville (City Hall). A one-way ticket costs approximately €22.

If you are arriving later, you can take the Lignes d’Azur bus 200 which departs from Terminal 1 at approximately every 1.5 hours between 23:00 and 4am. Buses stop in Cannes at the Railway Station. This service only runs on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
