1.1 The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment (the “Festivals”) are organised and managed by Ascential Events (Europe) Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with registration number 07814172 and registered office at The Prow, 1 Wilder Walk, London W1B 5AP, United Kingdom.
1.2 References to “us” means Ascential Events (Europe) Limited and references to “we” and “our” shall be construed accordingly. Reference to “you” means the entity completing a booking form and references to “your” shall be construed accordingly.
2.1 You may request a delegate pass for the Festival online.
2.2 All delegate pass purchase requests for the Festival are subject to availability. If you have completed your delegate pass purchase request correctly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, if there is availability for the Festival and if you have made the requisite pre-payment (or provided us with credit/debit card details and authorisation to deduct payment) a confirmation email will be sent to you as soon as reasonably practicable. Your booking is confirmed (a “Confirmed Booking”) when we send this email. If there is no availability for the Festival we will send you an email as soon as reasonably practicable informing you that this is the case (a “Booking Rejection”).
2.3 When you request a delegate pass online, you must have previously linked your user name and password which you will use to access the “My Account” area of www.canneslions.com (the “Website”) and to book as a delegate (your “Account”). You are responsible for preventing unauthorised use of your user name and password. You must keep your username and password confidential at all times as you are responsible for all activities undertaken through your Account. You agree to log-off from your Account at the end of each session and to contact us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username/password and/or Account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these requirements.
2.4 Yacht Pass number is required by the Port of Cannes for all yacht berthing applications. The number can be requested via firstname.lastname@example.org. Please refer to clause 10.
2.5 If you choose to add-on a companion to your delegate pass, they must be a spouse and are not suitable for business partners, clients or colleagues. All companions are approved by Ascential Events (Europe) Limited.
2.6 A companion (e.g. spouse) would be entitled to attend the Cannes Lions Awards, Parties for the specialist events and the Gala(s). Please note a companion would not have full access to the Festival (talks, exhibitions, screenings etc.).
2.7 If your pass includes a companion, you will be issued with invitations to the Awards, Galas and Parties. Companions will not be issued with a badge and will not have access to the Festival.
3.1 Prices are set out on the Website and exclude all applicable local taxes. All payments for registration fees must be made in euros (or such other currency as is stipulated on the Website from time to time). Payment must be made, or valid credit/debit card details and authorisation to deduct payment given, at the time you complete your booking.
3.2 Prices may change from time to time. If the price of a delegate pass increases or decreases before you receive a booking confirmation we will notify you and ask you to confirm whether you wish to proceed with your booking based on the revised price.
3.3 Payment may be made by either (i) bank transfer (€10 flat fee); or (ii) credit or debit card (VISA – handling fee of 1.5%; MasterCard – handling fee of 1.5%; American Express – handling fee of 3.05%).
3.4 If you wish to pay by bank transfer please use the bank account details below. You are responsible for paying all bank charges. If bank charges are not paid by you your registration may be refused. A payment description should be included with your payment which references your company name and DL/ reference number.

Once the transfer has been made you will need to scan and email proof of payment/Bank Transfer confirmation, quoting your company name and DL/ reference number, to our Finance Team in order to complete your booking.
3.5 From Friday 2 June 2017, it will no longer be possible to make payment by bank transfer and we will be accepting payment online by credit card only. At the Festival, you can pay in cash (in Euros), travellers cheques (in Euros) or by credit card.
3.6 A walk-up fee of €85 + TVA will apply to all passes purchased upon arrival at the Festival. This applies to all Festivals (incl. Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment) and pass types.
3.7 The stated pass fee excludes French Value-Added Tax (“TVA”), which is applicable to all customers who do not have a French TVA registration number. All invoices will be sent electronically to the email address provided by you at the time of booking. If you require the hard copy of your invoice then you must request from our Finance Team in writing. We cannot re-issue invoices. Invoices only refer to the currency in which payment has been made. You may, in certain circumstances, be able to reclaim any TVA which you have paid. We do not refund TVA.
3.8 Booking requests will only be processed with full pre-payment.
4. Changes To The Event And
4.1 It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, due to acts of God, severe weather, fire, explosion, military or terrorist acts (or threats of any such acts), any industrial action or widespread illness) to alter the advertised content, timing and/or location of the Festival or to cancel the Festival. We reserve the right to do this at any time and we shall not be liable to you for any cost or other expenses (including wasted costs and expenses) incurred by you and/or your delegate(s) as a consequence (including, without limitation, delegate pass fees and travel and accommodation expenses).
4.2 Any requests to replace one delegate for another must be made via the “My Account” area of the Website. An administration fee of €130 + TVA for Delegates (incl. Classic, Complete, 4 Day, Networking, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment delegate passes) and €80 + TVA for Students and Young Lions (incl. Classic, Complete, 4 Day, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment delegate passes) applies to all replacement requests before midnight GMT 2 June 2017. After midnight GMT 2 June 2017, the administration fee will increase to €200 + TVA for Delegates (incl. Classic, Complete, 4 Day, Networking, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment delegate passes) and €110 + TVA for Students and Young Lions (incl. Classic, Complete, 4 Day, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment delegate passes). No exceptions will be made.
Please note, it will not be possible to make replacements at the registration area, in Cannes. All replacements must be submitted online via the “My Account” area of the Website.
4.3 Cancellations must be made via the Confirmed Booking section of your “My Account” area.
4.4 Cancellations of delegate passes are not eligible for a refund or for credit for 2018. This policy also applies to Yacht passes and delegate pass downgrades.
4.5 If you wish to request an upgrade or downgrade to a delegate pass (e.g. from a “4 Day pass” to a “Classic pass” or vice versa respectively), please visit the “My Account” area of our Website. Additional fees will apply to delegate pass upgrades. No refunds/credit will be given for delegate pass downgrades.
4.6 No refunds or credits will be given for non-attendance at the Festival.
5.1 Please collect your badge for the Festival from the registration area indicated in your booking confirmation email.
5.2 Badges must be worn at all times during the Festival. Badges are valid for the booked delegate only. Any misuse of badges will result in delegates being denied access to the Festival.
5.3 We will not replace lost or stolen badges.
5.4 If your pass includes a companion, you will be issued with invitations to the Awards, Galas and Parties. Companions will not be issued with a badge and will not have access to the Festival.
6. Award Shows And Galas
6.1 Awards Ceremonies, Galas and Parties can be accessed with your delegate badge and are included in some delegate packages. It is not possible to purchase additional access for individual Awards Ceremonies, Galas or Parties. Access to Award Ceremonies, Galas and Parties will not be possible without a delegate badge.
6.2 If your pass includes a companion, you will be issued with invitations to the Awards, Galas and Parties. Companions will not be issued with a badge and will not have access to the Festival.
7.1 All rights in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the Festival (including but not limited to any audio or audio-visual recording of the Festival) (“Content”) is owned by us or is included with the permission of the owner of the rights. No (i) photography, filming or recording; or (ii) republication, broadcast or other dissemination of the Content is permitted without our prior written consent. You shall not distribute, reproduce, modify, store, transfer or in any other way use any of the Content (save that use by the relevant delegate for internal business purposes shall be permitted) without our prior written consent, and in particular (but without limitation) you shall not (and shall procure that each of your delegates shall not) without our prior written consent:
7.1.1 upload any Content into any shared system;
7.1.2 include any Content in a database;
7.1.3 include any Content in a website or on any intranet;
7.1.4 transmit, re-circulate or otherwise make available any Content to anyone else;
7.1.5 make any commercial use of the Content whatsoever; or
7.1.6 use Content in any way that might infringe third party rights or that may bring us or any of our affiliates into disrepute.
7.2 The Content does not necessarily reflect our views or opinions.
7.3 Suggestions or advice contained in the Content should not be relied upon in place of professional or other advice. Whilst we take reasonable care to ensure that the Content created by us is accurate and complete, some of it is supplied by third parties and we are unable to check its accuracy or completeness. You should verify the accuracy of any information (whether supplied by us or third parties) before relying on it. The Content is provided on an “AS IS” basis without any warranties of any kind (express or implied). We hereby exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law all liabilities, costs, claims, damages, losses and/or expenses arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the Content or arising from any infringing, defamatory or otherwise unlawful material in the Content.
7.4 To the extent that any Content is made available by us online we reserve the right to suspend or remove access to such Content at any time.

8.1 General Information
• Accommodation for official delegates attending Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity (“Festival”), including Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment, can be booked through b network, official partner of Cannes Lions. B Network SAS (“b network”) is the Festival’s booking agent and can only be contacted via the Website or by email: email@example.com
The hotel owner or accommodation provider is responsible for delivering your accommodation to you not the Festival. Any bookings made independently outside of the official Cannes Lions Website and b network booking service are not the responsibility of the Festival or b network. Bookings can only be made through https://www.canneslions.com once your official registered delegate pass has been purchased.
“Accommodation” includes hotel room, apartments or studios.
“Festival” or “Cannes Lions” means Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity or the organisers Ascential Events (Europe) Limited whose registered office is c/o The Prow, 1 Wilder Walk, London WC2B 5AP.
“b network” means B Network SAS a company incorporated in France whose registered office is Rue Raphaël 1, 06400 Cannes, France.
“Booking” means the booking for accommodation made with b network.
“Contract” means the Booking and these Terms, and any other terms and conditions stated to apply to the Booking by the hotel or accommodation provider.
“Hotel” means the premises for which your Booking is made.
“Terms” means these terms and conditions.
“TVA” means French value added tax.
• Please note that reservations can only be made and confirmed by or on behalf of official Festival delegates who have completed registrations online.
• Please note that accommodation bookings are confirmed only once full payment is received for both the registered delegate passes with Cannes Lions and the accommodation for said delegates with b network.
b network accept the following methods of payment: credit cards: American Express, MasterCard , Visa
• A 2% credit card fee will apply to all payments made using a credit card.
• The b network booking system contains details of accommodation which have been pre-approved by the Festival and are located in Cannes.
• This accommodation is only available to delegates who have booked and received official delegate passes for the Festival.
Standard Payment Terms
There are three payment options available:
Credit card payment: reserved rooms must be paid for in full at the time of booking, confirmation will be provided by email.
Bank transfer: reserved rooms must be paid for in full within five working days of booking. Any booking made from 18 May 2017 onwards to the conclusion of the Festival, must be paid in full within two working days of booking.
Multiple payments: The full amount for reserved rooms can be paid for separately by using methods (a) and (b) above and in accordance with the same payment terms as above.
• Your reservation will not be confirmed until the full amount in cleared funds for the reserved rooms is received by b network. If your payment is not received within the timeline stipulated above, your room(s) may be released back for into the booking system for resale.
• There are no exceptions to the above terms and conditions.
Cancellations & Penalties
Cancellations must be communicated to b network in writing via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Telephone cancellations are not acceptable. Penalties may apply in the event of cancellation as stipulated below.
Name Changes policy
• Name changes for both delegate passes and/or accommodation are permitted up to 2 June 2017 at a charge of €130+TVA per delegate, €80+TVA per student/Young Lion and free of charge for the Platinum delegates.
• Name changes for delegate passes can be made from 3 June 2017 at a charge of €200+TVA per delegate and €110+TVA per student/Young Lion. Name changes for accommodation from 3 June are at the discretion of the hotel and are subject to availability.
Cancellation fees cannot be used to credit another booking and are non-refundable. Please note that in any case and at any date, the credit card fees (2% of the total amount debited) are non-refundable.
• In case of cancellation or a shortened stay request received before 28 February 2017, 10% of the total amount paid for your accommodation will be kept as a cancelation fee and 90% refunded via the original method of payment.
• In case of cancellation or a shortened stay request received between 28 February and 15 April 2017, 50% of the amount total paid for your accommodation will be kept as a cancellation fee and 50% refunded via your original method of payment.
• In case of cancellation or a shortened stay request received between 16 April and 15 May 2017, 80% of the deposit paid for your accommodation will be kept as a cancellation fee and 20% refunded via your original method of payment.
• In case of cancellation or a shortened stay request received from 16 May 2017 onwards, 100% of the total amount paid will be retained and no refund permitted.
• All reservation modifications including name changes can be made through” Manage My Reservation" via the "My Account" area on www.canneslions.com. Changes will be confirmed by b network within 1 working day and are subject to availability.
• Please kindly note that the name on the pass is linked to the name on the accommodation reservation and therefore you must change the name of the pass to enable your hotel reservation to update automatically. Please refer to the name change policy above.
Minimum night stay policy
The minimum stay, or minimum number of night’s payable, depends on the dates required and the type of accommodation booked:

Please kindly note that some hotels may require a superior minimum stay on some of the above dates. In such cases, this will be indicated in the room rate section of the hotel.
For apartment rentals, a seven night minimum stay is applicable.
8.9 Invoicing process
• b network is collecting the pre-payment for all the accommodation reservations.
• Payments will then be transferred in full to all the accommodation providers (except the 2% transaction fee for credit card payments).
• b network will provide a confirmation including a summary of the rooms reserved for you and the amount to be paid in order to confirm them.
• You will receive an accommodation confirmation upon receipt of the full payment but you will not be provided with an official invoice from b network. Your payment to b network will appear as a deduction on the final invoice be issued by your hotel (or agency if applicable) upon check out. The balance due on the final invoice will have to be settled directly with your hotel (or agency) before departure (in case of direct extensions, meals, extras etc.).
• Please address any specific invoicing details or requests to b network directly and they will be communicated to the accommodation providers accordingly.
TVA may be applied to your invoices.
8.10 Complaints procedure
All complaints and claims which you make in relation to the accommodation are to be directed to (and are the responsibility of) the accommodation provider.
8.11 All terms from 1- 10 above apply to Group bookings except as follows:
Accommodation Booking Terms and Conditions
• All the rooms within your allocation that are not fully prepaid by close of business on the 2 February 2017 will be cancelled and released back to the booking system for resale.

• For any cancellation of night(s) received between April 16 and May 15 2017, 80% of the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept as a cancelation fee and 20% refunded via your original method of payment. Cancellation fees cannot be used to credit another booking or another night and are non-refundable.
• For any cancellation of night(s) received from May 16 2017 onwards, the deposit paid for the night(s) cancelled will be kept in full as a cancelation fee. Cancellation fees cannot be used to credit another booking or another night and are non-refundable.
Please note that in any case and at any date, the credit card fees (2% of the total amount debited) are non-refundable.
8.12 Force Majeure
The Festival or b network accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, computers, cyber security attacks or any collapse of building structures.
8.13 Limitation of Liability
The Festival and/or b network will not be responsible for the loss or damage whatsoever including any to any property left in the hotel or accommodation.
The Festival will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Festival, its employees, contractors or agents or otherwise). B - network’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the accommodation paid under the Terms.
Nothing contained in these Terms or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Festival’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8.14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it are governed by English law.
The English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising in connection with the Terms, including disputes relating to any non-contractual obligations.
Each party irrevocably waives any objection which it may now or later have to proceedings being brought in the English courts (on the grounds that the English courts are not a convenient forum or otherwise).
8.15 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Festival, b network and delegates in relation to the booking system operated by b network for booking accommodation to attend the Festival.
9. Conflicting Activities
9.1 Ascential Events (Europe) Limited brings together creative views, market experts, global brands and tech gurus, along with the Awards honouring the industry’s game-changing ideas. Organisations present in Cannes during the Festivals are asked to share responsibility and agree to the following conditions of participation.
9.2 by hosting an event in Cannes during the Festivals you agree that:
9.2.1 you shall not, directly or indirectly, organise, fund or sponsor any conflicting or competing activity in Cannes during the Festivals unless your company/organisation is permitted to do so for the Festival and it is in conjunction with Ascential Events (Europe) Limited;
9.2.2 you shall not, directly or indirectly, engage in activities that are identical or similar to those conducted by Ascential Events (Europe) Limited during the Festivals, or that otherwise takes commercial advantage, or is parasitic of the Festivals, its brand, trademark or goodwill;
9.2.3 you shall not entice Festival delegates, sponsors or speakers away from the Festivals with the intention of presenting your own competitive commercial activities which runs contrary to the Festivals or to its detriment or engage them to participate in, support your event or competitive commercial activity which undermines or damages the Festivals;
9.2.4 you shall not use the name, trademarks or logos of the Festivals or the Lions business name to promote your event or competitive commercial activity without our prior written consent or licence; and
9.2.5 you shall not engage in promotional or branding activities, including but not limited to the distribution of leaflets, brochures or flyers whether before, during or after the Festivals unless agreed in writing with Ascential Events (Europe) Limited.

9.4 We reserve the right to procure the cancellation of any event that you host or manage, whether before, during or after the Festivals, that is in breach of any of the terms of Clause 9.2 without any liability to you.
9.5 You acknowledge and agree that damages to Ascential Events (Europe) Limited Limited’s brands, goodwill and reputation are reasonably foreseeable consequences of a breach by you of Clause 9.2
Spaces on the Quai d’Honneur are limited and allocated on first come first served basis. In order to have access to the Quai d’Honneur you must register and pay for a Yacht Pass. Please note that the Yacht Pass does not guarantee the berth nor include its fees. This needs to be organised with the Port of Cannes and paid for separately. Please go to CCI Riviera Ports website for more information. Please be mindful of the official process for berth applications and take care when submitting your documents to ensure your submission complies with the CCI’s procedure in order for your request to be successful. The spaces are allocated by the Port of Cannes through your reservation agent or captain. You will need to provide your Yacht Pass reference number to proceed with the application.
11.1 These Terms and Conditions (together with any documents referred to herein or required to be entered into pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, including without limitation any booking form) contains the entire agreement and understanding between us and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings or arrangements (both oral and written) relating to the subject matter of these Terms and Conditions and any such document.
11.2 You acknowledge that in purchasing a delegate pass and/or booking any associated accommodation you have not relied on, and shall have no remedy in respect of, any statement, representation, warranty, understanding, promise or assurance (whether negligently or innocently made) of any person other than as expressly set out in these Terms and Conditions.
11.3 These Terms and Conditions shall not create, nor shall they be construed as creating, any partnership or agency relationship between us.
11.4 You accept that communication with us may be electronic. We may contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. You agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all such communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal or contractual requirement that such communication be made in writing.
11.5 Save as set out in Clause 4.2 you are not permitted to re-sell, transfer, assign or otherwise dispose of any of your rights or obligations arising under these Terms and Conditions.
11.6 The Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment trophies are the intellectual property, including copyright, design rights and trademark rights, of Ascential Events (Europe) Limited. Ascential Events (Europe) Limited have the exclusive right to and not limited to, reproduce, manufacture, copy, and sell the Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Lions Innovation or Lions Entertainment trophies in any size or medium, and to distribute or exploit the design of the Lion or reproductions of same by gift, sale, re-sale or licence. No reproduction, replica or other copy of the Cannes Lions, Lions Health, Lions Innovation or Lions Entertainment trophies may be made or used by any manufacturer, advertiser, organisation or individual except in accordance with these terms unless you have the prior express written consent or license from Ascential Events (Europe) Limited.
11.7 These Terms and Conditions and the rights and obligations of both parties shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales and both parties irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in respect of any dispute which arises hereunder.
Delegates are informed that all exhibits for the Festival are strictly for the purpose of criticism and review only and does not constitute any recommendation, endorsement or promotion of the products or services featured therein by Ascential Events (Europe) Limited, any of its affiliates, or otherwise. Nothing contained in the feature represents the views or opinions of Ascential Events (Europe) Limited or its affiliates, or otherwise and no reliance should be placed on any part of the feature other than for the purpose of evaluation as an entry to the festival. Ascential Events (Europe) Limited and its affiliates do not accept liability of any kind in respect of the feature or any product or service referred to in the feature.
