Keith Weed is arguably the most influential CMO of the past 15 years. He was CMO of Unilever from 2010-2019 and
now sits on the board of WPP and Sainsbury’s as well as being President of the Royal Horticultural Society.
His time as Unilever's CMO was pivotal in that he led the company on its journey to create purpose driven brands and to
embed sustainability as a core business practice. In conversation with Jim Stengel, Keith will reflect on the evolution of
the CMO role and what it takes to excel in it.

Keith Weed, Former Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

10:15 - 11:00 Evolving beyond branded content to impact culture

“Never been done before” is often the ask, but it takes a lot to actually deliver on that goal. This year MTV, Pepsi and
TikTok came together in a first of its kind partnership that evolved beyond the typical, transactional branded content
model to shake up the traditional music competition format and codevelop a linear TV series that aired as a 5-week
special event on MTV.

Todd Kaplan, CMO of Pepsi and Dario Spina, CMO of Velocity, Paramount’s branded content studio, will take a deep dive
into how they went beyond traditional branded content to impact culture and re-define what it means to be a modern
“popstar,”.

Todd Kaplan, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo
Dario Spina, CMO, Velocity, Paramount Global

Viva la Vulva, Womsbtories blew down the walls of silence with the dynamite of empathy.

The Titanium Grand Prix, Health & Film & Film craft Grand Prix winner integrated campaign by AMVBBDO for Libresse

silence that surrounds the complex experiences women and womb-bearers go through.

The truth-telling journey itself has been more complex than ever. You’ll hear the highs and lows, the pain and the
pleasure and all the obstacles they’ve been overcoming.

But also what it means to really listen, and how you can create a virtuous circle in culture where we can all become
better sharers, and better listeners.

Heineken and Publicis Italy - Outdoor Grand Prix 2021 - Shutter Ads Heineken’s Shutter Ads took home a Grand Prix in Outdoor Advertising at last year’s Cannes Lions. By turning the shutters of locked down bars into media space, paying bar owners to post Heineken ads on them, they created a mechanism that was both driven by a sense of purpose while also being commercially savvy.

Independent bars are important distributors for the brand, and helping them weather the pandemic is also positive for
the beer longer term.
