"I've been in this game a long time, and my job has changed more in the last year, than in the last 20"
Amanda Hill, A+E Networks
As advertising evolves into content and storytelling, the shape and role of the different players in the landscape is also changing.
Brands need to be present: they need to be in the room, taking part in the dialogue. And the only way they can do that is through storytelling. But what does this mean for the brands trying to fight for attention, and what can they learn from the entertainment industry?
From A+E Networks, Amanda Hill discusses the future of entertainment with Sunshine's Al MacCuish and Dave Roberts from Trailer Park, in a discussion chaired by Lions Entertainment Executive Festival Director, Louise Benson.
Al MacCuish is Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Sunshine and Amanda Hill is Chief Marketing Officer at A+E Networks, and both are jurors on the 2017 Lions Entertainment jury. Dave Roberts is Managing Director of Trailer Park and served on the inaugural 2016 Entertainment Jury.
Lions Entertainment (21-22 June) is about the future of entertainment, and the role that brands will play within that. It is for everyone with an interest in how entertainment is funded, distributed or consumed, the companies and talent leading the charge across the industry, and finding and retaining audiences. This specialist event is open to Festival delegates and Lions Entertainment-only passes are also available. More information can be found in the Pass Picker.
