Cannes is officially underway!
The Entertainment Lions for Music are awarded to work that uses music as a fundamental component to craft a message. This Lion celebrates original compositions or musical collaborations between artists and brands who create memorable music experiences and turn content into culture.
Now in its second year, the 'music Lion' is sponsored by Spotify, and to mark the occasion they've created an exclusive weekly playlist called SoundWaves to highlight key moments leading up to the festival and help you build the perfect soundtrack for your road to Cannes Lions.
The first edition of SoundWaves is all about France, featuring artists from the region including Phoenix, Justice, and M83.
In the coming weeks, Spotify's team of expert playlist builders will update SoundWaves to celebrate the international sounds of Cannes Lions, showcase the artists to keep an eye out for on the Croisette, share music to inspire your creativity and more.
The Spotify experience will continue at the Festival when the streaming service opens the doors of Spotify House (and Beach) for Festival-goers to see in a few short weeks. Keep your eyes peeled for @spotifybrands
