Our seven Young Lions Competitions are where the next generation of creative stars go head-to-head. If you're under 30 they're one of the best places at the Festival to celebrate your creativity on a global stage.

The Young Lions competitions let the next generation of creative superstars demonstrate their creativity on a global stage. Taking place live in Cannes, there are competitions to suit people from every corner of the communications industry. Judged by members of the Cannes Lions Jury it's the perfect opportunity to put your talent in the spotlight.

Print

The Young Lions Print competition challenges talented young creative to create a print ad within 24 hours with each participating country represented by one creative team.

The Young Lions Media Competition challenges the brightest professional minds working in media agencies to demonstrate their strategic thinking and innovative approaches to solving an important marketing challenge.

Digital

The Young Lions Digital Competition will challenge teams to create an integrated digitally led campaign in 24 hours. Teams will be briefed by the client, a charity or NGO, and expected to use digital led executions and the technology behind them to solve the problem.

Imagine having only 48 hours to film and edit a 60-second commercial, filmed entirely on a camera that the Festival provides. This is the challenge that young Creatives face in the Film Competition.

The Young Marketers Competition champions the world’s best young client marketers. Over an intense 24-hour period, teams of two will work to come up with a concise, direct and effective brief – the kind that will clearly act as a creative springboard for an agency.

The Young Lions Health Award in association with UNICEF is seeks out the next generation of young talent in creative communications. This year's competitors will once again put their creativity to the test on a brief set by UNICEF, the world's leading organisation working for children in danger.

THE ACADEMY EXPERIENCE

Participating in a Cannes Lions Academy is like no other learning opportunity in the world. Mark Tutssel, Global Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Worldwide, described it as "five years learning in five days". It's guaranteed inspiration. It's guaranteed to change your life.

The classroom is your exclusive opportunity to hear speakers up close and personal. You'll even get a chance to directly ask the questions you want answered, which our speakers love. They get to talk to 30 of the brightest talents in the world - trust us, they're excited to hear what you think.

This year, Academy places are by application only. Tutors want a class of hungry, talented individuals who really want to be there. Your company is investing in you, so you must be serious about your career.

With each class limited to 30 places, it's the best of the best. 67% of Academy alumni have been promoted within six months of attending. Will you be next?

SIX DAYS OF LEARNING

The Academies kick off at 15:00 on Sunday 17 June with a group welcome session and drinks. Academies then split into their classes to meet the tutors and each other. The Academy experience is specially curated for you by the tutors and Festival, so no other delegate will have a journey like yours.

THE CANNES LIONS SCHOOL CAMPUS

The Campus is the heart and soul of the Festival, home to the Academy classrooms and Young Lions Competitions. The space is vibrant and alive, and is a shared space that will also welcome guest speakers, Happy Hour drinks each afternoon, and The Night School on Wednesday 20 June.

ACCOMMODATION IN CANNES

We have an exclusive selection of accommodation for Young Lions throughout the city, with prices starting at €88 per night. If you're selected for an Academy place, once you have paid for your ticket you'll be sent a link to choose your accommodation according to your budget.
