YOUNG LIONS FILM COMPETITION

Imagine having only 48 hours to film and edit a 60-second commercial. This is the challenge that the Young Lions face in the Young Lions Film Competition.

THE CHALLENGE

Creative flair is put in the spotlight as teams compete to film and edit an original and captivating 60-second commercial using a camera provided by the Festival, before being judged by the Film jury.

Teams are briefed on by the client, which is a charity or non-profit organisation, the day before the competition begins. They then have 48 hours to come up with an original idea, film their footage and edit it into a captivating ad.

THE PRIZE

The Young Lions Film Competition Jury, made up of the shortlisting jury from Cannes Lions, will judge the work and crown a Bronze, Silver and Gold winner at a live winners announcement.

The winners will be celebrated at the Cannes Lions Award show later that week with Gold winners collecting their award on stage. It's a whirlwind of a competition full of energy, bold creative ideas and innovative thinking.
