Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is the closest airport to Cannes and offers enhanced accessibility services. Special assistance is offered free of charge. Here are some useful tips to help you plan your plane journey:
- Request assistance: We recommend that you let your airline or travel agent know that you require assistance when you book your flight, and at least 48 hours before you depart.
- Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 Tram service: Use free tram lines 2 and 3 for accessible transfers between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
- Shuttle between terminals: There’s a complimentary electric shuttle connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to distant car parks (P4, P6, P8 and P9). It’s also wheelchair-accessible.

From Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Cannes
The journey from Nice Airport to Cannes by taxi takes about 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available at the airport's taxi ranks. Make sure the taxi has a meter so that the fare is based on distance.
From Cannes train station (Gare de Cannes) to your destination
If you're arriving by train, taxis are usually available outside the Cannes train station and should also be metered.

Airport transfer tips
Here's what you need to know about getting to the city of Cannes from Nice Airport.
If you’re coming from outside of Europe, flying will be the easiest way of getting to Cannes. Most people arrive at Cannes via the city’s closest airport, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. It's less than 30km from the city.
This airport is well served by international flights, and there are options for getting to Cannes from Nice. You can even book a queue jump reservation for speedy access through security.
There is a train station, Nice Saint Augustin, approximately a 15-minute walk from Terminal 1 and 2 at Nice Airport, with regular service to Cannes. The journey to Cannes varies from 25 to 40 minutes.

Many delegates choose to get to Cannes by bus from the airport. Services from Côte d'Azur Airport Coach Station run by checkmybus are available to use for delegates attending the Festival.
From the Nice Cote d’Azur Airport – hiring a taxi/transfer service would be the quickest and most comfortable option.
Renting a car can be convenient for getting around, especially if you want to see more of the French Riviera and drive on the winding coastal roads. Once you land at Nice Airport, there are several car hire providers to choose from.
If you’re looking to park your car, there are a few options available:
Car park: There are a few car parks near the Palais and within walking distance. Please refer to the Official Cannes Website to view an interactive map.
Public street parking: There are parking spots along the Croisette as well as on a few side streets. As this is a shopping and tourism zone, the first 30 minutes are free, and after that, you’ll be charged €3 per 2 hours.
