Biography

Alan Schwarz, Assistant Managing Editor of Forbes Media, is a Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist best known for his four-year, 120-article series in the New York Times that exposed and revolutionised the awareness and treatment of concussions in American football, youth sports and military personnel worldwide. His further public-health journalism covered drug abuse and child psychiatry. A pioneer in the field of data journalism, Schwarz holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and was honoured with the lifetime Excellence in Statistical Reporting award from the American Statistical Association. He lives in New York City, USA.
