Biography

Cape Town-born and -bred, Carl has worked at leading agencies across diverse brands, categories and continents. He believes the right creative idea can solve any problem – and that all stress disappears when the big one lands. His work has earned recognition at major shows including The One Show, D&AD, Cannes Lions, the Loeries, and the Bookmark Awards.

As Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg, Carl is helping shape the agency’s growing reputation. In just two years, the team has achieved a number of accolades: Cannes Lions Regional Network of the Year 2024, Best Digital Agency, Best Brand, and the Special Honours Award for ‘Best Creative’ at the Bookmark Awards. They also won Overall Agency of the Year at the Creative Circle’s 2024 Best of the Year Awards.

Carl currently serves as Chairperson of the Creative Circle and sits on the board of the Loerie Awards.
