Biography

Courtney is an award-winning brand executive with a passion for storytelling. She has more than 20 years of experience working with global brands across tech, media, entertainment, non-profit, lifestyle and luxury. Brands include: L’Oréal, Time Inc., Madison Square Garden Co., Audible (Amazon) and Twitter. Additionally, Courtney is a former professor of digital development at SUNY Purchase and has led her own brand consultancy, CBW&Co. In her current role at Kickstarter, Courtney leads the strategic direction and execution of marketing inititatives that are focused on building and enhancing the company's brand equity and awareness. She is responsible for crafting compelling narratives, leveraging insights to drive engagement, and ensuring the brand's message is consistent across all channels. Throughout her career, Courtney's work has been focused on elevated brand strategy, global campaign activations, global brand standard governance, and end-to-end digital experiences. She and her team are always at the center of consumer and product marketing work using a mix of data and creative vision to propel the brand narrative. Courtney holds a MFA from School of Visual Arts in New York City and has served on the boards of the NYC Mission Society and the Aging Fund of NYC.
