Daisy Veerasingham became President and CEO of The Associated Press in 2022. Previously, she served as Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all of AP’s global operations including news, revenue, product and technology. Prior to that, Veerasingham was Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for sales, product, marketing and customer operations worldwide. She also led the development of AP’s international video business, driving its transition as a fully digital, multichannel live news agency. A media veteran, Veerasingham began her career at the Financial Times and was Group Sales and Marketing Director at LexisNexis before joining AP in 2004. Veerasingham, a native of London, UK, lives in New York in the US with her family.
