Dan Clancy is the CEO of Twitch, where he leads the platform’s global vision and strategy, overseeing product, technology, content and operations to support and grow Twitch’s global community. He previously served as President and EVP of Product at the company.

Before joining Twitch, Dan was VP of Product and Engineering at Nextdoor, where he led product, engineering and data science. He also spent nearly 10 years at Google, where he was the Book Search engineering lead and led product ad engineering for YouTube. Dan began his career at NASA’s Ames Research Center, directing computer science research programmes with a focus on robotics, autonomy and artificial intelligence.

He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Computer Science from Duke University. Dan can be found streaming on Twitch as DJClancy.
