Biography
Building on his recent bestselling book, "Personalized: Customer Strategy in the Age of AI," David advises C-level executives and corporate boards on transforming their operations to leverage AI, differentiate on customer experience, and move dramatically faster through agile practices. Named in the "AI Trailblazers Power 100" by AdWeek. , He is also an active public speaker, independent board director, and periodic professor at HBS.
David has led digital transformations for almost 30 years, as a Chief Marketing Officer (at Aetna/CVS) and with McKinsey, Digitas, and the Boston Consulting Group. As an advisory board member to Glasswing Ventures, and to several AI tool providers, and stays on the leading edge of the practical issues involved in realizing the value of AI and personalization.
Over the years, David has developed and popularized foundational concepts such as “The Customer Decision Journey,” and “Segment-of-One Marketing,” and has been published widely.
