Biography
David started his career as a copywriter in London and worked his way up to founding his own agency in Manila with BBDO. His agency won the country’s first Lions in Film, Cyber, Outdoor, Radio, Press, and Promo, which led to him being the first from Southeast Asia to serve as a Cannes Jury President
BBDO Guerrero won the country’s first WARC Asia Grand Prix with the “It’s more fun in the Philippines” campaign, creating a national catchphrase. Other work includes: the Effectiveness Grand Prix at AdFest for P&G’s Pantene; a Grand Prix at AdStars for Pepsi, and a Grand Prix at Kinsale for “The Dissolving Bottle.”
His love of Asia’s pop culture led to David present a BBC World Service documentary about the Beatles visit to the Philippines.. This is also the topic of his forthcoming book on the same topic to be published by Penguin in October 2025.
