Adweek calls him “the go-to name for black humor and nuanced performances” and Creativity, a “master of short-form comedy directing.” David was the most awarded commercial director in the world twice recently, according to The Gunn Report. In 2023 he was named Director of the Year at AdAge’s annual Creativity Awards. He received DGA award nominations in 2023 and 2018, and was nominated for his second Emmy for Apple's 'Detectives', following wins for both the Apple spot and campaign at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, shots Americas and AICP.
