Dr Shruti Jayakumar trained as an academic surgeon in London, UK, joining Deloitte four years ago to work at the intersection of AI, clinical innovation, and strategy, using technology to solve some of the most complex challenges in life sciences and healthcare. At Deloitte, Shruti has built and scaled innovative healthcare solutions, including developing an AI-based software as a medical device (SaMD), making Deloitte the first big 4 firm to take SaMD to market. She helped lead the Deloitte–McLaren Racing partnership and now applies simulation and digital twin capabilities, taken from the world of Formula 1, to help clients solve complex business challenges.

Before joining Deloitte, Shruti trained and worked in cardiothoracic surgery and conducted research focused on how we can understand, predict and make better decisions for patient care, including creating a risk prediction model for sudden cardiac death in athletes.
