Breaking Barriers: Redefining Disability Representation in Original Content

Biography

Ezra Frech is a U.S. Paralympian and disability advocate. Ezra was born with congenital limb differences, missing his left knee, left fibula and fingers on his left hand. He received his first prosthetic leg at 11 months old and later had surgery to remove the lower part of his left leg and to transplant a toe from the amputated foot to his left hand.

Ezra made his Paralympic debut at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, finishing fifth in high jump and eighth in long jump. In 2023, he won the World Championships in High Jump, breaking the men’s high jump T63 world record. Ezra is currently training for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

Ezra is working to break the systemic barriers that exist for people with disabilities. In 2013, together with his family, Ezra co-founded Angel City Sports, providing free year-round adaptive sports programming for kids, adults and veterans with physical disabilities or visual impairments.
