George’s natural home has always been the racetrack. The 28-year-old has lived and breathed motorsport from a very early age. Preparing for his eighth season in F1, and fifth with Mercedes.

After successful seasons in GP3 and F2, George was ready to graduate to the top tier of motorsport in 2019 with Williams, where he spent his first three seasons. Several starring drives led to his promotion to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team for 2022. In his maiden season with the team, he took his maiden pole position in Hungary and then his first Grand Prix victory with a controlled drive in Brazil to win the São Paulo Grand Prix.

He added to his victory tally in 2024, winning in Austria and in Las Vegas, USA.

After stepping up as the team’s senior driver in 2025, George lived up to the team’s expectations, adding two wins and seven podiums to his record. He took his sixth career win at the opening 2026 race in Australia.
