Biography
Jim Lesser started his career as the receptionist at a New York ad agency in the US. So he believes a great idea can come from anywhere. Especially the receptionist. He was one of the few creative directors in advertising to become a CEO, leading BBDO San Francisco through a period of rapid growth and creative excellence. Their iconic work for Barbie turned the brand around, led directly to the smash movie and won multiple Cannes Lions Awards along the way. Today he’s ServiceNow’s first Chief Brand Officer, and since he joined, the ServiceNow brand has gone from relative unknown to #41 on the Kantar BrandZ Top 100 list. His team has driven 10× growth in awareness by bringing B2C creative instincts to a world that usually settles for bullet points and blue charts. Jim believes that creativity is one of the last unfair advantages in business. Now AI is turbocharging it.
