Biography
Kojo Marfo is a cultural strategist and creative economy architect championing African and diaspora creators on the global stage. As Founder of My Runway Group and visionary behind afriCANNES, he builds strategic bridges between emerging talent, Black-led businesses, global brands and policy leaders, turning cultural influence into commercial opportunity.
For over 13 years, Kojo has designed international campaigns, retail activations and creative employment programmes that unlock visibility and capital for underrepresented communities. He launched Black in Carnaby, London’s first Black-owned concept store in the West End, creating retail access for over 200 Black-led brands and attracting support from major institutions and city leaders.
Through afriCANNES, he is positioning African creators not just as participants in global creative industries, but as collaborators, deal-makers and market shapers. His work has been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, BBC and the Evening Standard
