Lucy Edwards is an award-winning presenter, journalist, content creator, speaker and disability activist. Blind since age 17, she has won awards for her work with the BBC, modelled in Pantene advertising campaigns and advised Procter & Gamble on product designs. Her first book, Blind Not Broken, was published in March 2024 by Octopus Publishing; her subsequent children’s book Ella Jones vs The Sun Stealer was released in February 2025. Her work is grounded in the social model of disability: it is society that needs to adapt, not the individuals with disabilities. Lucy’s work has made her a leading voice in the global diversity, equity and inclusion space, with a social media following of over 2.8 million and videos with more than 1bn views.
