Biography
Innovator and creative mentor to many professionals in the multicultural community, Luis Miguel Messianu’s award-winning work for clients such as McDonald’s, State Farm, Molson Coors and Pepsi, among others, is proof of a conscious effort to help pioneer the melding of marketing niches into a nuanced and evolving market. Juror at Cannes three times: Radio (2016), SDG (2022), and Social & Influencer in ’24. Also third time as a speaker at the Festival, having opened last year with 'Collaborativity' together with Todd Kaplan on the multi-award winning 'Better with Pepsi' campaign. He was DDB’s Global Chief Creative Officer on McDonald’s, splitting his time as Founder and Chairman of alma, the agency he founded, and left the summer of 2023. Last September he launched MEL (Messianu/Edelman/Lerma), a minority-owned, Hispanic-led integrated communications agency, allowing him to recommit to his mission of helping dignify and elevate the presence of Latinos in the U.S.
