Matt is an inspirational agency leader, mentor and communicator with 25-plus years of strategic communications experience spanning consumer brands, technology, professional services and healthcare sectors. He is passionate about the role communications and creativity can play in delivering real business impact and growth.

Matt is Burson’s Global Influence and Social Officer, leading the agency’s influence and social capabilities and helping brands build meaningful connections through culture and community. Prior to Burson, Matt was Global President of PR, Social and Influence for Ogilvy.

Throughout his career, Matt has been at the forefront of award-winning integrated communications campaigns and the shift toward creator-led brand building for global brands including The Coca-Cola Company, Google and Bacardi Brands.

Matt is a recognised industry leader and regular awards judge and in 2025 was in the UK PR Week Powerbook for the sixth year running. He has also been a Juror for the PR Lions.

Matt grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and has lived in the UK for more than 20 years. He lives between Brighton and London with his food photographer husband, Ellis.
