From Logic to Magic: Five Ways to Make Tech Resonate

Biography

Min Jae Lee is a Senior Research Engineer at Hyundai Motor Group’s Materials Research & Engineering Center (MREC).

MREC assesses carbon emissions from the automobile life cycle (LCA; Life Cycle Assessment) and develops carbon-neutral and eco-friendly materials.

Min Jae is a member of the Energy Device Research Team, which develops energy saving and harvesting devices, and develops methods of increasing the efficiency of devices.

He holds a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Material Science from UC San Diego, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Seoul University.

Since joining Hyundai Motor Group in 2016, he has researched nano heat transfer materials including the Nano Cooling Film, thermal emission switchable materials, and biomimetic cooling materials.

Based on his experience and expertise in material engineering, he was recently selected as the company's elite Global R&D Expert and is currently undergoing advanced training courses.
