Biography

Mishal is one of the UK’s most respected journalists. She spent over a decade presenting Today on BBC Radio 4 and has anchored major international and national news events for the BBC, including elections, royal occasions and global crises. She has reported from Washington, Singapore, Beijing and conflict zones, covering pivotal moments from 9/11 and the Iraq War to the Arab Spring and Brexit. Known for her calm authority and incisive interviews, she has spoken with world leaders, cultural icons, and changemakers, including Aung San Suu Kyi, Malala Yousafzai, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In 2024, she received the Charles Wheeler Award for Outstanding Contribution to Journalism. Mishal is also the author of Broken Threads, a Sunday Times bestseller, and The Skills: How to Win at Work, championing clarity, resilience, and purpose in public life. This year, she is launching a new global interview series.
