Raymond Otene McKay, an Indigenous Chief Creative Officer based in Aotearoa (NZ), leads the RUN agency alongside his wife and Co-Founder, Laura Cibilich. With recognition both locally and internationally, McKay's heritage includes Ngaati Mahuta, Ngāti Rongomaiwahine, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Pūkeko, and European ancestry. With nearly two decades in the industry, he's worked in acclaimed creative agencies and now heads his own. Passionate about amplifying Māori, Pacific, and BIPOC voices, he launched Orator Circle to showcase their stories. Raymond serves on health and education boards, and guest lectures at AUT University, sharing his expertise in advertising and design with an Indigenous perspective. His journey from Colenso BBDO to agencies like DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Clemenger BBDO Sydney, honed his craft across various categories and disciplines, navigating the evolving landscape of advertising with creativity and strategic acumen.
