FCB Canada
Biography
Shelley is a strategic planner with extensive agency management experience, fascinated by what motivates people—be it customers, clients, or employees. Joining FCB in 2015, she has transformed it into a strategic powerhouse, leading a team with 6 of the country's top 10 strategists and winning the first Gold Cannes Lion in Strategy. Shelley’s 33-year career began in market research, where she honed her skill for uncovering insights. She then moved to strategic planning at Roche Macaulay & Partners, zig, and CP+B, before joining FCB from BBDO, where she led strategy for Canada.
Throughout her career, Shelley has crafted award-winning strategies for brands like IKEA, the Bank of Montreal, Canadian Down Syndrome Society, Unilever, Molson, and BMW. She has served as Strategy Chair of the Miami Ad School in Toronto, Chair of the Strategy Awards, and a Global Effie judge. Shelley has won over 50 Cannes Lions. She and her husband of 31 years have three children: a welder, a hockey player, and a scholar. Fair warning: Shelley’s hot pickled peppers are not to be trifled with.
