Stella Li is Executive VP of BYD Company Limited and CEO of BYD Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, one of the most expansive leadership remits in the global automotive industry.

Having joined BYD in 1996, Stella has spent nearly three decades driving international expansion, from establishing BYD’s first European headquarters in Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 1999 to overseeing its first North American factory in Lancaster, California, USA, in 2013. Under her leadership, BYD passenger vehicles now reach more than 80 countries, and the company has grown into the world’s fourth-largest automotive OEM.

In 2025, her mandate expanded to include Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where she is overseeing BYD’s new European headquarters and factory in Budapest, Hungary.
