Biography
After honing his skills as a Creative Planner at Orange and Partners, Takaya Matsuda embarked on his own entrepreneurial journey. Together with his twin brother, Fumito Matsuda, he co-founded HERALBONY, a company named after a mysterious word scribbled on the notebook by their autistic older brother, Shota, during his elementary school years.
With the mission statement ‘Radiate your color’, HERALBONY strives to redefine culture through innovation rooted in social welfare. As the company’s Creative Director, Takaya plays a pivotal role in crafting the bold and vibrant identity of the brand.
Based in Tokyo, he is the younger of the Matsuda twins. Takaya was honoured as one of Forbes Japan’s Culture-preneurs 30, recognising trailblazers who are reshaping cultural industries. He also serves as a board member of the nonprofit organisation Neurodiversity. Takaya is the author of the book Radiate Your Color: How HERALBONY is Transforming the World Through Welfare and Art.
