The LIONS Scholarship

Supporting the next generation of creative talent

Following the inaugural LIONS Scholarship initiative in 2023, we’re once again offering 10 fully paid scholarships to underrepresented talent within the creative industry.

The LIONS Scholarship is designed to support the next generation of talent, placing an emphasis on diversity of location, gender, race, class, preference and perspective.. With five places available in the Brand Marketers Academy and five in the Creative Academy, a total of 10 under-30s from 10 countries will receive a fully funded trip to Cannes Lions 2024.

What's included?

  • A delegate pass for the full week
  • Full reimbursement of economy travel to and from Cannes, France
  • Accommodation for the week
  • Transfers to and from Nice airport
  • €50 per day to cover mobile data, food, and incidental expenses.

Eligibility

Applicable to all applicants

  • Open to people born on or after 21 June 1993. Minimum age 18 years old. Proof of age will be required.
  • The LIONS Academies are presented in English.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of two years' work experience in a role.

We encourage brand/client-side marketers to apply including, but not limited to Brand and Marketing Managers, Digital Marketers, Marketing Directors, Social Media Managers, Campaign Directors, Global Digital Marketing Managers, Campaign Co-ordinators and Communications Consultants.

Application process

You can submit your application through the LIONS Competition platform. Your application should include the following:

  • an answer (250 words max.) to the following prompt: Describe what creativity means to you
  • a video (2 minutes max.), recorded in English, telling us who you are and why you deserve a space in the Academy
  • a character reference (250 words max) by your employer, your company's talent officer, a senior executive of your company or a previous LIONS Academy graduate.
