LIONS Talent Programmes Terms and Conditions
Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to the following LIONS talent programmes:
- AB-InBev Jodi Harris Scholarship;
- LIONS Scholarship;
- See It Be It; and
- ERA Programme.
(each a Talent Programme, together, the Talent Programmes).
The Talent Programmes provide an opportunity for successful applicants to attend the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which takes place in Cannes, France between 16 – 20 June 2025 (the Festival). Unless otherwise specified below, the Talent Programmes are made available and administered by Ascential Events (Europe) Limited, with its registered address at 2nd Floor, 81-87 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6DF (LIONS or us, we, our).
Partner Talent Programme: The AB-InBev Jodi Harris Scholarship is made available to applicants by Anheuser-Busch InBev S.A, with its registered office at 3000 Leuven, Brouwerijplein 1, Belgium (AB InBev).
Eligibility
To be eligible for the relevant Talent Programmes, you must:

submit your application (see ‘How to Apply’) in accordance with the application deadline (see ‘Application Deadline’); and

not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
The following additional eligibility criteria apply for the relevant Talent Programmes detailed below:

AB-InBev Jodi Harris Scholarship: working in a marketing role and aged 31 - 36 (specifically born between 20 June 1987 and 16 June 1994).

LIONS Scholarship: working as a creative or marketer with at least 2 years experience and aged 30 or under (specifically, born on or after 20 June 1994). Proof of age will be required.
Please note, the content presented at the Festival is in English. Therefore, we advise that applicants are proficient in English.
We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of entrants at any time during the application process. Failure to comply with any verification procedures will result in dismissal of your application. In the event of any dispute concerning the eligibility of any individual for the relevant Talent Programme, our decision shall be final.
Talent Programmes
Successful applicants will be awarded with a place on the relevant Talent Programme which shall take place at the Festival.
The details of each Talent Programme (and what this includes) are as follows:
AB-InBev Jodi Harris Scholarship
There are a total of 10 places available. To enable the successful applicants to attend the Festival, your Talent Programme will also include:
- a Classic delegate pass for the Festival;
- full reimbursement of economy travel to and from Cannes, France; and
- accommodation for the duration of the Festival.
LIONS Scholarship
There are a total of 10 places available, 5 for the LIONS Creative Academy and 5 for the LIONS Brand Marketers Academy. To enable the successful applicants to attend the Festival, your Talent Programme will also include:
- a LIONS Creative Academy or LIONS Brand Marketers Academy delegate pass for the Festival;
- full reimbursement of economy travel to and from Cannes, France;
- accommodation for the duration of the Festival; and
- a daily allowance paid in advance of €50 day (totalling €350).
See It Be It
There is a maximum of 20 places available on the See It Be It programme. To enable the successful applicants to attend the Festival, your Talent Programme will also include:
- a See It Be It delegate pass to the Festival (equivalent to a GOLD delegate pass);
- full reimbursement of economy travel to and from Cannes, France; and
- accommodation for the duration of the Festival.
ERA Programme
LIONS will allocate up to €2m worth of complimentary passes as part of our ERA Programme each year. The Festival pass types which may be allocated under this Talent Programme are: a Classic, Young Lion or Student Festival pass.
Please note: We shall not be responsible for any additional costs you incur attending Cannes Lions Festival, including flights travelling to/from the festival, accommodation for the duration of your stay. You acknowledge that you will be responsible for settling your bill for any extra costs you incur, including but not limited to internet, bar expenses or room service at your accommodation.
You will be responsible for ensuring that you are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas, vaccinations and travel documents for your acceptance of the Scholarship and attendance at the Festival.
Talent Programme Obligations
You agree and acknowledge that, by accepting your offer to participate in a Talent Programme:
- you shall attend all activities required by the Talent Programme; and
- your use of the relevant pass for the Festival (as detailed above) is subject to the Delegate Terms and Conditions.
Withdrawal of Talent Programme
We reserve the right to remove your acceptance to a Talent Programme, immediately in the event that:
- we establish you are ineligible;
- you breach these terms and conditions;
- we are of the reasonable opinion that you have made any misrepresentation (whether negligently or intentionally) to us either in respect of applying for the Talent Programme or during the course of and in connection with your involvement with the Talent Programme;
- the Festival is cancelled or postponed, or the Talent Programme is no longer available; and/or
- you are deemed, in our reasonable opinion, to have behaved inappropriately, or in a manner which could bring us, our affiliates or sponsors into disrepute or be prejudicial to the image or reputation of the Festival or LIONS (including activities on social media).
Any costs incurred by you will not be reimbursed should your Talent Programme offer be withdrawn or Talent Programme place terminated.
How to Apply
Applications for your Talent Programme must be completed via the online portal available here.
Application Deadline
The deadline for applications is 05 December 2024. We cannot accept applications after this date.
Selection Process
All applications will be reviewed by the relevant selection panel. We will contact you to let you know whether your application has been successful or unsuccessful. Please note that all decisions are final.
Publicity
We, or the relevant Talent Programme partner (if applicable), may ask you to participate in certain public activities relating to your Talent Programme and/or the Festival. By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to participate in reasonable publicity/activities relating to the Talent Programme, as required by us or such partners (Publicity).
In respect of any such Publicity, you grant to us an exclusive worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable licence to record, broadcast, publicise, publish or photograph or otherwise use your participation in the Talent Programme (your Contribution). You acknowledge and agree that we shall be entitled to edit, copy, adapt or translate your Contribution at our discretion and you irrevocably waive in our favour, our assignees and licensees, all moral rights and performers’ rights arising under copyright, or any similar rights arising under the laws of any jurisdiction in such Contribution.
Our Use of Your Personal Information
We will use the personal information you provide to us to process your application and administer the Talent Programme and we may also email you from time to time with updates and other information about our events, products and services that may be of interest. Such personal information shall also be shared with relevant partners, to the extent necessary for the administration of the Talent Programme. We may also pass your details to other selected partners and sponsors who may contact you. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our privacy and cookies policies.
Our Liability
We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage suffered by you in connection with the Festival or your accommodation, including without limitation any loss or damage to any property left in your accommodation.
We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by our negligence, the negligence of our employees, contractors or agents or otherwise).
Our aggregate liability to you in respect of all losses, liabilities or damage suffered by you arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or your attendance at the Festival, however arising and whether in contract, negligence or other tortious action or otherwise, will not exceed EUR 10,000.
Nothing contained in these terms or conditions or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or restricted by law.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under, or in connection with these terms and conditions.
The terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement and understanding of the parties relating to the subject matter hereof and supersedes any previous agreement in relation to such subject matter.
If there is a dispute between you and LIONS concerning these terms and conditions, the parties will use all reasonable endeavours to act reasonably and settle the matter as appropriate.
