Biography
Lauren Ogúndèkó is a seasoned digital leader with over 17 years of experience in the advertising and media industry. She currently serves as the Chief Activation Officer, EMEA at IPG Mediabrands, where she drives digital transformation and strategic growth across the region. Her expertise lies in crafting market-leading strategies for international brands, with a focus on advertising, media, and performance marketing.
Throughout her career, Lauren has held senior roles at renowned agencies such as Omnicom Media Group (OMG), PHD, and Havas Media Group. She has collaborated with over 100 global brands across diverse industries, including O2, NatWest, Volkswagen Group, Sainsbury's, LEGO, and De Beers. Her work spans strategic planning, digital activation, and innovation in areas such as paid search, paid social, SEO, programmatic media, and data-driven marketing.
Lauren is also a thought leader in the industry. She frequently contributes opinion pieces to advertising and media publications and speaks at conferences on topics like digital transformation, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) in marketing. Her ability to integrate data analytics and technology into actionable strategies has earned her recognition as a forward-thinking leader.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lauren is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace. She has served as a co-chair of multicultural advisory boards at previous agencies and is currently the Executive Sponsor for "My Future," an initiative aimed at accelerating Black employees in media. Lauren's career also includes entrepreneurial ventures such as co-founding Bicycle London, where she built a digital-first media agency from the ground up. Her leadership extended to launching initiatives like digital academies to enhance digital proficiency among non-digital teams.
