Biography

Phil's job puts him in charge of almost 12,000 creative professionals across Dentsu Creative, Tag and dentsu Japan, and gives him significant experience in understanding the creative business from many angles. He led the integration of all dentsu's creative agency brands around the world into Dentsu Creative and has helped clients transform their own businesses and brands as the Executive Sponsor of dentsu's BX (Business Transformation) Practice in the Americas.

A strategist by trade, Phil worked at DDB, Cramer Krasselt, start-ups and mcgarrybowen across many Fortune 500 brands and was the Chief Strategy Officer for mcgarrybowen for four years. During that time he integrated brand planning, digital and social strategy, as well as data and analytics capabilities into one fluid team that can take on the challenges of modern marketing to help transform brands and businesses through creativity.

A proud Irishman despite working in the US for the last 24 years, Phil has been named to the Irish American Business 100 list. Passionate about the intersection of creativity and technology to drive real change, not just at a customer or business level but also at a societal level and he has helped champion a number of initiatives that focus on sustainability and improving society for all.
