Biography

Shelley Worrell is an award-winning cultural entrepreneur and brand strategist who has made Caribbean identity a global creative force. As Founder and CEO of I AM CaribBEING, she has produced 500-plus immersive experiences with Google, Diageo, the James Beard Foundation and Vox Media, proving that deeply rooted cultural storytelling drives mainstream brand relevance and commercial impact.

A former business development executive at Google, A&E, and Time Warner, Worrell went on to found CaribBEING and spearhead the official designation of Brooklyn’s Little Caribbean, a masterclass in community-led place branding. She later served as Head of Caribbean Partnerships for the U.S. Department of Commerce and sits on the boards of NYC Tourism+ Conventions and Preservation League of NYS.

Worrell is on a mission to make one thing undeniable: the communities that have always shaped culture deserve to own the brands built on it.
