New Brand Marketing Academy Dean announced for Cannes Lions 2026

Lex Bradshaw-Zanger, Chief Marketing & Digital Officer of L'Oréal (SAPMENA) in Singapore, has been appointed as the new Academy Dean of the Brand Marketing Academy which will take place at Cannes Lions 2026. He brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked across multiple markets and held positions at household brands – and will be helping the 2026 cohort supercharge their creative capabilities.

Based in APAC, Lex’s career has spanned the growth of the web from the 56k modem to GenAI and has covered North America, Europe, and the Middle East. No stranger to the world of brands, he’s worked at some of the biggest – spending almost 10 years at L'Oréal across Paris, London and now Singapore, as well as holding positions at both McDonald’s and Meta.

During the earlier part of Lex’s career in the agency world, he worked at both WPP and Publicis, his last role being Regional Director for Digital Strategy & Innovation for Leo Burnett MENA. With his global experience and a skill set covering not only digital and marketing transformation but business growth in an age of AI, Lex has a strategic view of how technology and marketing is changing business today.

Alongside his day job, he’s a board member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) APAC, and is committed to using his skills for good, including as an adviser to multiple start-ups, the sponsor of the WFA Executive-in-Residence Programme and part of The School of Marketing mentoring programme.

With his extensive experience as a mentor for rising talent and global expertise on both the client side and the agency side, there’s no doubt Lex will bring a wide range of knowledge when leading the Brand Marketing Academy at Cannes Lions next year.

The Brand Marketing Academy is a six-day programme which offers marketers the opportunity to learn from the world’s biggest brands and leaders while building a network of global peers.
