Biography
José has 30 years of experience in advertising.
Winner of the first ever Cannes Lion for Peru.
José had international experience as Creative Director at Leo Burnett in Miami, Puerto Rico and Chicago working for P&G US hispanic market and helping Gain Detergent become a $1 billion brand.
He has won awards such as the Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA, FIAP, El Sol, New York Festival, One Show, Effie Latam and Ojo de Iberoamérica.
In 2008 he returned to Peru and founded Circus, the number 1 agency in the local market, where he was Creative Director.
In 2013 he founded CARNE (Grey's second agency in Peru).
In 2016 his agency won the first Grand Effie LATAM for Peru.
His client APU Cement was chosen as one of the most powerful brands in Effie Global, alongside iconic brands such as Apple and Nike.
José also was jury at some of the most relevant awards in the industry such D&AD, El Sol, Effie Latam, Ojo de Iberoamérica.
Now José has been Creative Chairman & CEO at Circus Grey since 2022 and last year won 8 Cannes Lions, including a Grand Prix and 4 Golds with Sightwalks Project.
