Biography
KR Liu is the Global Head of Product Innovation & Marketing Partnerships for Platforms and Devices at Google, where she leads inclusive innovation on a global scale. Her work sits at the intersection of product, policy, and brand — building technology that reflects the real world and drives meaningful, long-term impact.
For more than 25 years, KR has been a leader in accessibility, design strategy, and cultural storytelling. Diagnosed with severe hearing loss at the age of three, she has dedicated her career to making sure the systems and tools we build include the full spectrum of human experience. From helping pass the Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act to launching AI-powered tools like Expressive Captions, Look to Speak, and Guided Frame, her work turns lived experience into products and policies that stay.
Previously, KR led disability-forward brand strategy at Google Brand Studio, where she partnered across teams to bring inclusive stories and platforms into the mainstream. Her approach is always holistic — connecting insight, innovation, and execution from the very start. Her new role expands that scope globally, aligning product and marketing to scale building for all as a core business driver.
She has served on national boards and policy committees, and her work has been recognized with a U.S. Congressional Award, a Glass: Lion for Change Jury Presidency at Cannes Lions, and honors from ADWEEK, Campaign, and Women We Admire. In 2024 she was named Women We Admire Top Women Leaders Honoree, featured on the cover issue of ADWEEK in March 2023, awarded a U.S. Congressional Award, AdAge 2022 Leading Woman honoree, Campaign 40 Over 40, 2021 ADWEEK Creative 100 Honoree, a 2020 ADCOLOR Rockstar Award Nominee, and one of the 2019 top 50 Future Female Leaders by Yahoo!
