Spotlight on Africa
Benchmark yourself against the best
Every year, roughly 10% of all entries are shortlisted and 3% are awarded. In 2025, although Africa didn’t manage to keep pace with this global average, work that did win or make the shortlist demonstrated the region’s creative potential.
Africans and Africa have the energy and a lot of time it's really about daring to be bold, daring to go for it, to see what's possible. It's about the power of the idea to say let's go unconventional, let's move the needle, let's challenge status quo. That’s my theme for 2026. Bold ideas, bold execution and I dare say bold results will follow.

Advice from the 2025 Jury
First, watch all the webinars available, use the resources wisely. And second, tell your own story. The more authentic the problem you're trying to solve is, the more interesting it is. If it's different to what you're used to, it makes you pay attention. The Jury want to pause and say ok let me look at the supporting document. Let me dig into it.

In a sea of sameness, be unforgettable. Learn from previous winners. Look at what they did and what you can do differently. We were asking was it a creative solution? Was it courageous? Did the idea make a relevant connection to culture or a certain behaviour? Was there measurable business impact?
