The Practical Guide to Cannes
Sticking to a budget this year? Here are our top tips for a cost-effective Cannes Lions.
If you’re looking to spend less at Cannes Lions this year, we’ve put together our top tips to help you make the most of what’s on offer during Festival week.

See what’s included with your Festival badge
You’ll get a selection of complimentary perks with your Festival badge, including:
- Daily Happy Hours: Enjoy free drinks in the sun on the Terrace from 5:30pm to 7:00pm daily.
- Closing Party: Join us at the Closing Party on Carlton Beach with complimentary drinks (non-alcohol and alcohol) and small bites all night on Friday 26 June from 9pm.
- Recyclable water bottle: Refill your water bottle at our water stations throughout the week, signposted in the Cannes Lions 2026 app. If you forget to bring a refillable water bottle, you can pick up complimentary water cartons at Registration, or purchase a reusable bottle from the official Cannes Lions merch shop.
- Internet access: get hassle-free connectivity with free Wi-Fi at the Festival.

Affordable transport recommendations to Cannes
Travel costs can add up, so we’ve put together a few affordable options:
- Bus: This is the most affordable way to travel to the Festival venue. Tickets cost €1.80. You can find schedules and pricing here.
- Train: Another option is to take the regional train from Nice to Cannes, where tickets cost between €5 and €15 depending on the time of day. Take a look at the schedules and pricing.
- Taxi: We’ve locked in a fixed rate with the city for trips from the airport to the Festival venue with local taxi providers for €85 each way. If you’re travelling by taxi, try to share the ride with colleagues to split costs.
- Night bus: Need to get around in the evening? The Palm Night Bus and the Cannes Lions Night Bus are great options for Cannes Lions delegates. More information coming soon.

Affordable food and drink around the Festival
While the French Riviera is known for its luxury eateries, there are also a lot of budget-friendly food options to keep you going throughout the week.
There are plenty of nearby supermarkets, so grabbing some picnic food from there and taking it to the beach is a great option. You’ll also find various fast food chains just across the road from the Palais (main Festival venue) for a quick bite. Stay tuned for our Restaurant recommendations, coming soon.
