See It Be It, in partnership with the world’s most popular audio streaming platform, Spotify, is the Cannes Lions initiative aiming to achieve equal gender representation in creative leaders across the industry. Since launch six years ago, our community has evolved into a global movement of women and the impact of our programme reaches far beyond the Festival week.
Our alumni become ambassadors and take our creative conversations across the world. The See It Be It mission is to bring career acceleration, learning, moments of inspiration and connections to creative women everywhere. Having already taken part in a mentoring scheme with Invisible Creatives, this year’s 15 finalists will join us on the talent-acceleration programme at Cannes Lions in 2021.
Over the first week of LIONS Live, we took away important insights from alumni in See It Be It ‘Advice That Worked’. A new podcast from Lions and Spotify is the latest in our series of creative conversations – an audio series streaming on Spotify designed to explore mentoring and purposeful business relationships.
The intimate podcast brings alumni together with the women who have been instrumental in offering guidance throughout their careers. The series gets to the essence of what makes these relationships so powerful, looks at creative leadership and shows us how to build skills and strengths through the friendships we cultivate.
A host of guests from all over the world will join us for the See It Be It podcast. The first episode will feature Maria Milusheva, 2017 alum and Creative Director, Noble Graphics / TBWA. She talks to Stanislava Ivkova, Creative Director of Direct Media Kres and – as Maria describes her – “my first boss, the woman who initially saw something in me and gave me a chance to get into advertising”. We hear how an industry built on creativity needs to learn from mothers: leadership styles that foster confidence, independence, trust, kindness, acceptance.
