Biography

Benjamin Yung believes that creativity is a powerful force that can transform businesses and spark positive change in society.

A graduate of one of the country’s top business schools, Benjamin started out in financial consulting before making the leap to Unilever’s marketing team. It was here that he learned to combine keen business insight with an unwavering passion for creativity—a combination that eventually led him to the world of advertising, where he discovered his true calling as a creative.

With over 25 years of experience, his work has earned him more than 60 Cannes Lions, including 13 Golds. He also had the honor of stepping onto the Cannes Lions stage to celebrate the "Agency of the Year" title in 2009 with DM9DDB and again in 2016 as a creative director for AlmapBBDO.

With a sharp focus on effectiveness, his ideas have also won 36 Effie Awards, including two Grand Effies. Widely recognized across the industry’s top festivals, Benjamin has been ranked among the Top 10 creative directors in the world for several years by the Big Won Rankings and has served as a jury member for numerous prestigious awards.

Today, he is the CEO of DPZ, one of Brazil’s most legendary agencies, which won the country’s first ever Cannes Lions Gold in 1974. His mission now is to restore DPZ’s prestige and continue its legacy of creative excellence—helping brands grow while making a meaningful impact on the world.
