Biography

Duncan Bone is a Group Creative Director with over two decades of experience leading work across Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.

He has worked at some of the industry’s most respected agencies, including Wieden+Kennedy, 72andSunny, and now Colenso BBDO. Duncan's work focuses on storytelling, craft, and technology. It spans brand building, design systems, film, and digital experiences—often centred on simplicity, cultural relevance, and visual clarity.

Duncan’s recent project Adoptable by Pedigree was awarded a Grand Prix at Cannes Lions 2024, among other major international awards. The campaign uses AI to give real shelter dogs the opportunity to be adopted via Pedigree's digital billboards, and has become a reference for purpose-driven innovation at scale.

He has also directed fashion films exhibited at the London Design Museum, worked on global sports teams rebrands, and created campaigns for clients ranging from Nike to BMW International.

Born in Malta, Duncan has lived and worked in London, Amsterdam, Beijing, Shanghai, and now Auckland. He studied industrial design and brings a maker’s mindset to his practice—shaped by a long-standing interest in emerging technology and a love of storytelling. He’s always exploring new ways to create innovative work where technology meets craft in a way that feels seamless—powering ideas without overpowering them, and delivering experiences that are intuitive, unexpected, and built for what comes next.
