Biography

I am a strategic communications leader with over 16 years of experience in storytelling, reputation management, and media relations across the Globe and beyond. I specialize in crafting compelling narratives, managing high-stakes communications, and fostering partnerships that drive meaningful change.

I lead Portland Communications’ strategic team, overseeing strategic planning, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement. My team nurtures strong media relationships across the continent, delivering impactful results through Portland’s global network in London, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Washington D.C., Nairobi, Doha, and Singapore.

Beyond my role at Portland, I serve as a corporate board representative for the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) and Chair of the Media Relations Experts Panel at the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK). I have been honoured as a PRWeek Global Awards jury member for the third time and named among the Top 52 Public Relations Practitioners in Kenya (2024), Top Men in PR by PRSK, and PR Personality of the Year by Marketing World.

My career began in journalism, where I developed a keen eye for storytelling and the ability to craft resonant messages. Over the years, I have had the privilege of leading communications for some of the world’s most respected organizations, shaping narratives around global health, development, youth empowerment, economic opportunities, governance, leadership, and sustainable private-sector growth. My work has taken me across Africa, including Ghana, where I supported the Mastercard Africa Growth Fund in amplifying its impact on SMEs and financial inclusion.

I am also deeply committed to initiatives that drive social change. I have contributed to the Always Keeping Girls in School Programme, which ensures access to menstrual health solutions and education for young girls across Africa. Additionally, I have played a key role in the Dishi na County initiative in Kenya, a transformative school feeding program that enhances nutrition and education outcomes for children.
