Biography
Rebecca Bourke is the Founder and Executive Producer of Assembly, a commercial, film, and television production company based in Dublin. In 2024, she expanded her vision internationally with the launch of Apex Films in London. Together, Assembly and Apex champion Irish and international talent, representing a diverse roster of writers, directors, photographers, illustrators, and composers. With over 20 years experience, Rebecca has built a reputation for producing bold, original work across a wide range of formats. She was named Producer of the Year at the YDA in Cannes in 2016 and in 2017 she produced the acclaimed short film Wave, starring Jarvis Cocker. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and went on to screen at over 75 festivals globally, earning 20 awards, including Best Live Action Short at the 2018 Irish Film & Television Awards. Wave was released by The New Yorker in 2019 and acquired by Disney+ in 2023. Rebecca earned her first p.g.a. mark on Swan Song, Apple’s debut original film, written and directed by Benjamin Cleary and starring Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Glenn Close. The film received nominations at the IFTA’s, NAACP Awards, the Golden Globes, and the BAFTAs.
