Biography
Róbert has spent over two decades shaping ideas, brands, and conversations through advertising and communication. He kicked off his career at Leo Burnett, later co-founded the agency Respect APP, and since 2019, he’s been leading his own agency, Slovák & Friends, where he focuses on projects with social and environmental impact.
Throughout his journey, he’s collaborated with brands like Lidl, Orange, Playstation, Greenpeace, while also lending his creativity to countless local and nonprofit initiatives. These include projects addressing gender inequality, violence in intimate or partner relationships, and the challenges faced by socially vulnerable groups. He also crafts campaigns with strong environmental messages.
His work extends into the cultural sphere too – working with films (most recently, a documentary about Slovakia’s first female president), theatre productions, and other creative projects.
Róbert’s work has earned him over 100 awards for creativity, effectiveness, PR, digital, and craft. He’s served as a juror at numerous local and international festivals and held key positions in the industry – as the former president of the Art Directors Club Slovakia and a board member of ADC Europe. He’s also the author of ‘More Than Advertising’ and co-founder of ADtc. /adsetera/, a school dedicated to marketing communication and creativity.
Beyond his creative work, Róbert is part of the Arbitration Committee of the Advertising Council, a self-regulatory body that safeguards ethical standards in advertising. He’s also a co-founder of Ľudia z marketingu (People from Marketing), the organization behind Slovakia’s ‘Marketer of the Year’ award.
And when he’s not working on campaigns, you’ll find him photographing, and directing music videos, documentaries, and feature films.
