Biography

Sachini Imbuldeniya is the co-founder and CEO of House of Oddities – one of the 0.01% of creative agencies owned by a woman of colour. The award-winning indie is built on the premise that ‘difference makes a difference’: it’s a safe space where weird, left-brained people who would be pretty much unemployable in the non-creative world can be themselves, eat crayons and nurture brilliant new ideas.

None of the HOO clan come from traditional advertising backgrounds and 100% of them hail from at least one of the most underrepresented groups in the UK’s creative sector. This brings fresh perspectives and new ways of thinking to its array of clients which includes Tony’s Chocolonely, Oxfam, NSPCC, Butternut Box, Amnesty International, Snapchat and Sport England’s This Girl Can.

Sachini firmly believes that if you want something done then you need a producer, but if you want it done well then you should get a woman to do it. She is a UN Women UK delegate to the United Nations Commission on the status of women (CSW68) and is on a mission to advance the rights of women and girls and accelerate the achievement of gender equality globally.

Sachini previously worked in editorial for publications including The Sunday Times Magazine and GQ and has created campaigns for brands including Gucci, Google, Cartier, Audi, M&S, Samsung, British Airways, Tesco, NSPCC, Kia, Tom Ford, AMEX, Sky, National Geographic, McDonalds, Chanel, Unicef and more.
